Sailing Cruise to Aran with an overnight stay
Motor past beaches on Carraroe and the Martello tower and old coastguard station on Rossaveal, watching ferry and fishing traffic in both directions. At the mouth of Casla Bay, hoist sails and complete the 11 nautical mile journey out to Kilronan Harbour on Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands, with a permanent population of 750 souls.
Spend the late afternoon and evening exploring the island, including possibly a visit to Dun Aonghus, which has outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor. Dine at one of the fine eating places on the Island, visit one of the pubs and return to the harbour to sleep aboard.
On the following morning enjoy a continental breakfast aboard before setting sail again with a planned arrival back in Rossaveal by 13.00.
Price : €150 per person sharing* (includes sailing, overnight stay and continental breakfast).
* Passengers will be asked to share the 4 double berths. Each cabin has its own bathroom and shower. All bed linen and towels are provided.
The group has complete privacy as the skipper sleeps in a separate berth which is only accessible from the foredeck.
You are welcome to participate in sailing the yacht during the trip. Life jackets and waterproof gear are supplied. No sailing experience necessary.
