About Atlantic Way Sailing

We are a Moycullen, Co Galway based team with decades of local and international yacht racing and cruising experience. In fact, we still race our J35, Lean Machine, around the Irish Coast when we are not working!

We are old friends that have studied, worked or sailed together for over 30 years in some cases. All members of the team are yacht owners and this venture is one of passion.

We have been bringing friends and fellow sailors to Aran for weekend trips for many years. One aspect of those trips has been a constant – on all of our excursions to Aran – everybody loved them.

This made us eventually decide to invest in a big boat, with loads of room and comfort so that we could use to cruise the islands in style. After lots of research we opted for a Hanse 531 and sailed this beauty back from Italy in March 2015.

Our new vessel, Atlantic Blue, provides top quality overnight sleep aboard accommodation to sailors and non sailors alike. She has four double ensuite berths with a separate skippers quarters which has independent access.

We hope that you will come out to Aran for a small overnight adventure and that you enjoy sailing on her as much as we do!
